This introductory class provides a foundation for stained glassing using the copper foil technique. We cover designing projects for glass, the art of glass cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, finishing and presentation. Students select from three designs to create a copper foil panel. All the glass, supplies and tools are provided. This six-week session is offered Monday nights 6:30 - 8:30pm or Wednesday mornings 11am - 1pm.
This class is designed to teach students techniques beyond the basics. In this six-week session, you choose the project and skills you want to learn or improve. Students will learn how to properly design their pattern for their glass project, as well as where to position hangers. Learn skills such as edge soldering, how to do copper foil overlay, incorporate actual river rocks, and more. Students may also bring their existing projects to work on and receive technical help. This six-week session is offered mornings and evenings.
* Previous stained glass knowledge is required. You may find it helpful to take the beginning class if it has been awhile.
